How Referral Offers Work
Let’s break down a standard referral flow using an example:Customer A (Rohan) places an order from your Shopify store. He gets a referral code & [link] . He shares this code with his friend Customer B (Vikram). Vikram places an order using Rohan’s referral link.
Offer to Referred Friend (Vikram)
- A discount code
- Customizable rules :
- Discount type
: Percentage or Fixed
- Discount Value
: eg. 15% or ₹200 off
- Minimum cart value
: e.g. valid only above ₹999
- Discount type
Reward to Referrer (Rohan)
- UPI payout (cash) or a Shopify gift card
- Customizable amount based on your campaign
- Delivered after a “safety period” to avoid fraud
